BLEND – Overlay your pics ($0.99 → Free, 9.2 MB): Blend your photos to create crazy collages with this photo layering app.

You’re able to import photos from your library or from other compatible apps, or you can snap new photos from within Blend. You’re also able to allow Blend to randomly choose photos for you. Each photo layer can be moved, scaled, rotated, and blended separately. Blend supports an unlimited number of layers, so you can really let your creative juices flow. When you’re ready you can share your blended creation via email, Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

You must sneak your way through colorful environments to steal and collect various items. You’re able to command your Tiny Thief to move and interact with objects with a tap. Each level requires you to gather one item, find your little friend, and discover a secret treasure. Not everything is in plain sight, and the solutions to each puzzle aren’t always obvious, so make sure to put your thinking cap on! There are hints available in case you get stuck, however. Recipes are broken down into seven different categories: starters, pastas, meats, soups, vegetables, sauces, and desserts. Each recipe includes an estimated total cooking time, ingredient list, serving size, and difficulty rating. You’re able to follow along with the step-by-step text instructions, or you can watch the Alessandro Piccinini, the Tuscan Chef, prepare the dish. If you notice there are ingredients that you don’t have, just add them to your shopping list with a tap. Recipes and shopping lists can be shared via email. Your job is to try and figure out what each word or common phrase is by the literal presentation. For example, if head is written above heels, the answer would be head over heels. If you find yourself stuck you can employ different types of hints, but they will cost you. You can also tap on an image to get a closer look. The app includes four puzzle sets, and achievements and leaderboards via Game Center.

StringMaster ($3.99 → Free, 41.9 MB): If you play a fretted instrument, you absolutely must give this app a try.

It allows you to display and play scales, and view chord notes or suggested fingering just by spinning dials. You’re also able to view the name of a chord based on the finger positions you define. There’s even a song writing mode, which suggests chords that sound best together. The app includes nine instruments to play, a comparison mode, and MIDI support.

StringMaster is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 39 ratings.
